About Us

The Climate Action Centre supports community climate action groups and climate activists in Victoria.

We aim to provide timely information, resources and ideas for action to the public and the climate movement, including a daily twitter service, weekly summary of recent climate stories (energy, strategy, politics and science) in the media, an events and Victorian climate groups listing.

The Centre has provided resources and support, and organised events, for:
• National climate action summits
• The Big Melt tour of Himalayan climate activists
Port Phillip Rising sea-level walk
Replace Hazelwood campaign
• Doorknocking the suburbs
• 2009 Higgins byelection
• Vote Climate (2010 federal election) and the
"Victorian has a Dirty Secret" campaign leading up to the state election in 2010.
• Forums on Copenhagen and its aftermath, Cochabamba and Air travel.
