Send a message to the government today.

Our weather is becoming hotter, with more extreme events, as the climate changes. Scientists tell us we must act urgently.

Right now, Julia Gillard’s government is negotiating with the Greens and Independents on how income from the proposed price on pollution (carbon tax) should be spent.

Half will flow to low and middle-income Australians as tax cuts or benefit increases. But Labor wants to give most of the rest to the big polluting corporations.

As little as 5% may be left to help build the new, clean-energy economy.

Yet building a 100% renewable energy economy by supporting jobs and investment in large-scale solar and wind power is the key to fighting climate change.

Now is the time to send a strong message to Julia Gillard and your local Labor member of parliament that they should NOT reward the big polluters… but instead BUILD clean, renewable energy.
